Staddlestones Barn

Places to visit:

Hambridge is a quiet little village, with many local walks, or cycle rides; there is a very large recreation area, including a play park for young children. Just a mile or so away is 'Burrow Hill' where there is a well established Cider Press and distillery. There are a number of relatively local pubs and restaurants renowned for their good food.
There are many National Trust properties in the South West, and eight of them are between 2 and 9 miles from Hambridge, including: Barrington Court; Priest's House, Muchelney; Treasurer's House, Martock; Montacute House; Stoke-sub-Hamden Priory; Tintinhull Gardens; Lytes Cary Manor; and Stembridge Tower Mill. If you double the radius, many more NT properties are available, including Burton Bradstock beach on the Jurasic Dorset coast.
Other nearby south coastal attractions are the Dorset resorts of Lyme Regis & West Bay, and Beer in East Devon. On the North Somerset coast the ancient port of Watchet, and Minehead are amongst many other coastal resorts that are close to hand.
Also within easy reach are Wells and it's Cathederal; Glastonbury with it's mystical Tor; the Clarkes Village shopping outlet in Street, together with many other interesting small towns and villages.
There are a number of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty which are within easy reach, such as Blackdown Hills; Mendip Hills; Quantock Hills; and Dorset (44% of the whole county). In addition Exmoor National Park which spreads across North East Devon and West Somerset, is not too far away.
